a morphing fish

squatter alert:
Hound & Quail, a collection of curiosities

friends of fishcake know, our space is constantly changing, if not daily! its a good way to keep things fresh. our metamorphosis as of late, has kept us busy in every corner of the room. namely, fishcake squatters Hound & Quail, Vintage Rose, and P55dle have moved. not to fret, they're not leaving! they are in fact, the first to greet folks thru the door. such a visual treat, come and see the new.

and in place of what was? oh, we can't say just yet. but more changes are on the way...

speaking of visual treats and new in the mix - our latest art exhibition IMMIX goes up on the walls next thursday august 22 featuring local-based photographers mark abeit, justin davies, and ivan wentland. what is immix, you ask? pronounced ih-miks, it is an experiment in the act of change itself - to mingle and manipulate. with every "mix in" of a new element, a new physical make-up is born. each of the photographers have gone beyond traditional photography to produce images which test techniques unique to them. think: life-sized photograms, scorched polaroids, and altered landscapes. join us!
