summer is fast approaching, that means barbecuing, friends and fun fun times. our friends used to gather at our condo barbecue area in past years, but now since we're homeless and living in grammy's house there is much overhaulin' to do in order to get it ready for summer.

i've been browsing pinterest for some fresh ideas for my back yard makeover. but i came across this from lisa's blog (bungalownine). love how clean and simple this looks.

steve martin dropped these gorgeous dishes off yesterday. they make me want to go out and throw a dinner party. each one is hand made and has a character all it's own. these pieces are available for commissioned work. the lead time is 4-6 weeks, not bad for something hand made in hawaii. the 8.5" dinner plate retails for only $12. and the 7" dessert plate retails for $10. quite the deal if you ask me.
